The Shenandoah Valley has some of the most pleasant terrain I've ever seen. This home on a back road in the Valley has some magnificent views from both the front and rear of the home. How fortunate to live here and wake up to those views - watch the sun rise over the Blue Ridge mountains in the morning and watch is set over the Allegheny Mountains to the west in the evening.
Magnificent!
The Shenandoah Valley is defined by the rolling hills of pasture land and farm land. You'll see crops raised next door to cattle ranches and horse farms. Large homes sit atop a hill with the owner's property streched out in all directions bordering up to another owner with another large home on the hill next door.
This video gives you a good vision of what you'd expect to see driving the back roads of the Shenandoah Valley.
Check out this great video of Bluegrass and Big BANJO at the Earle Theater in Mt. Airy. This one has just about all the cast doing their part.
When in Mt. Airy, I had the greatest time on a Thursday night to listen to Mt. Airy's local talent play some of the best bluegrass music I've heard in awhile at the famous Earle Theater in downtown Mt. Airy. There were at least a dozen musicians on stage: guitarist, bango players, fiddlers, bass players and singers and dancers from the audience. It was so cool!!!
Check out this great video I took after first going to a jam session at the famous Earle Theater in Mt. Airy where up to a dozen local musicians gather every Thursday Night to jam away. I'll also post one of those videos for you to see the theater and the musicians there that nigjht.
Check out this great video of the local talent picking and singing at Cowboy's BBQ in Covington, GA
I got this mini-movie in a post from Google who must have used my photos taken at the FedEx Tour Championship at East Lake last Saturday. It's amazing what their AI department is doing with the data they collect on us each day. Kind of scary if you ask me. But, anyway, you can see what they are capable of doing. It is kind of cool as they even laid down a sound track with the collecition of photos.
Check out this great video of Tiger Woods & Justin Rose tee off on hole #1 at the FedEx Tour Championship's Saturday Round.
I took this video from the driver's seat of my motor home as I first drove into Huntington Beach State Park. I'll have another one of driving across the causeway which separates the park from the mainland. That video shows the fresh water lake to the south and the salt water marshes to the north. It is a striking view that makes you gasp at the beauty of it all.
The causeway views to Huntington Beach State Park are simply breathtaking. There is a fresh water lake to the south which hosts many alligators and the area to the north is saltwater and rises and falls with the tides. When I crossed the tides were high and it was simply gorgeous. Imagine it at sunrise!
There is also bike and walking paths on each side of the road and I'll be planning a bike ride there in the next day or so.
This is my video of entering Sycamore Lodge in Jackson Springs, NC where I spent the Labor Day Holiday.
This is a nice campground and is my "Home Base" for the membership I have with "Travel Resorts of America".
